PROVINCIAL MINISTER MINES AND MINERALS CHAIRS REVIEW MEETING OF PANJMAN MINISTER DIRECTS E AUCTION AND BIDDING FOR ALL TYPES OF TENDERS

Lahore   Provincial Minister for Mines and Minerals Ibrahim Hassan Murad said that PANJAMAN has the potential to produce more rock salt and processing can play an important role in the export of rock salt. These views were expressed by the provincial minister while presiding over the meeting held regarding the performance of Panjman. The provincial minister directed that a memorandum to stop selling of salt in farms should be sent to the concerned authority. He also directed to approach PMDC for mining ventures, processing of rock salt and export of rock salt. GM PANJMAN said that coal projects are in loss due to increasing demand for Afghanistan/imported coal. On which MD Panjmn has been directed to submit a detailed report related to coal smuggling in Afghanistan along with evidence within a week. MD was also directed to submit the balance sheets of the last five years. To ensure transparency, instructions were also given to conduct E auctions and bidding for all types of tenders/actions in Panjman. MD pointed out that the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors is vacant. The Corporation is facing serious problems due to lack of approval for financial matters. The provincial minister directed that a memorandum for the appointment of the chairman should be immediately prepared and forwarded.
