Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 16 outlaws from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered liquor, drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions the Aabpara police team arrested an accused namely Naveel Masih and recovered 10 liters of alcohol from his possession. The Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Sajid Masih and recovered 1130 gram hashish from his possession, while the police team arrested the accused namely Noman involved in illegally refilling gas cylinders.
Likewise, the Kohsar police team arrested an accused namely Hassan and recovered 15 liters of alcohol from his possession. The Shalimar police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Faheem and recovered 124 gram ice from his possession. The Ramna police team arrested three accused namely Muhammad Saqib, Ehsan and Habit Khan and recovered 72 wine bottles and 180 beer tins from their possession.
Similarly, the Tarnol police team arrested an accused namely Usman Majeed and recovered 1050 gram heroin from his possession. The Sangjani police arrested an accused namely Abu Bakar and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Khanna police team arrested two accused namely Kashif Yaseen and Ishtiaq Ahmed and recovered 243 gram heroin from their possession.
More-ever, the Shahzad Town police arrested an accused namely Abdul Rehman and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Industrial Area police team arrested an accused namely Imtiaz and recovered 20 litres of alcohol from his possession. The Shams Colony police team arrested an accused namely Haleem Shah and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Noon police team arrested a lady accused namely Razia Zafar and recovered 1175 gram hashish from her possession.
