Development not possible sans higher and quality education, asserts Governor Balochistan

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has categorically stated that the development is not possible without imparting higher and quality education to the students.
The Governor also stressed the need to promote research and creative education in our educational institutions.
He also said that if he is serving as Governor, it is because of Wadh, and as such he can’t imagine about the betrayal to it (Wadh).
However, the reports about his resignation are just baseless, and he is not going to tender resignation from the Governor-ship, adding he made it clear.
However, the slot of Governor is just amant of the party (Balochistan National Party), whenever it (party) asks him to quit, he would not delay in leaving the slot in even a single minute.
He said that the status of Governor has become like a common person after passage of 18th amendment.
The Governor was addressing the faculty members and students of the Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) in Uthal on Tuesday.
The Governor said that LUAWMS is a higher educational institution regarding knowledge and skills, and we have to promote the quality and research based education for moving ahead. He said that progress is not possible without imparting quality education to the students.
He said that the world is progressing and moving ahead because of the higher and quality education. But, we are lagging behind the world for 50 years, he regretfully noted.
The Governor said that we have to work hard round the clock to bridge the gap and move with the world if not lead it.
Referring the Lasbela University, the Governor noted with contentment that by seeing the performance of students and teachers of the University, he is encouraged that we have the capability and capacity to include in the race of development.
He expressed the hope that the students of Balochistan would brighten the name of the province by competing with the world soon.
He also said that it is our utmost endeavour to prepare the rules and regulations of all universities of the province same. In this regard, work has already been started, the Governor added.
He vowed that if he finds an opportunity, he would do his best and utilize all available resources to improve quality of education in all universities of the province, he maintained.
He also stressed the need to understand importance and utility of the universities and make investment on them.
He regretfully pointed out that we did never pay much focus on education sector.
He said that we have to stand by our educational institutions and duly support them.
The Vice Chancellor of Lasebla University Professor Dr. Dost Muhammad Baloch, Vice Chancellor Khuzdar Engineering University, Dr. Masood, members of the Senate of Lasbela University and other concerned high ups were also present.
