Nawaz Sharif arrives in Quetta after six years; gets warm welcome

QUETTA: The central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday arrived in the provincial metropolis on two-day visit.

Also reached along with him by the special airplane were the President of PML-N and former Prime Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, party’s vice President and Chief Organizer, Ms. Maryam Nawaz and Pervez Rasheed, Captain (Retd) Muhammad Safdar.

The party’s provincial leadership including President, Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail, Jamal Shah Kakar, Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Nawab Jangez Khan Marri, Chaudhary Naeem Karim and others warmly welcomed the party’s central leader upon his arrival at the Quetta airport.

A large number of party workers were also present on the occasion to welcome their leaders.

The rose petals were also showered on Nawaz Sharif and other party leaders.

Meanwhile, soon after his arrival in Quetta, Nawaz Sharif and others moved to the Serena Hotel.

At the hotel, Nawaz Sharif remained engaged in meeting with the political stalwarts of different parties and individuals.

Later, the key politicians including former Chief Minister, Jam Kamal Khan and others announced their joining in the party reposing confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

The central leader of PML-N is scheduled to address the party’s provincial leaders and workers at a gathering today (Wednesday).

Nawaz Sharif along with Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and other leaders would leave Quetta for Lahore today afternoon.
