Caretaker CM directs to complete Quetta Development Package projects by December this year

QUETTA: The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has directed the concerned authorities to complete all ongoing development projects under Quetta Development Package by December this year at every cost.
He asserted that delay and slow pace of work on the development projects is not tolerable and as such adding also directed to take action against those contractors responsible for delay of the development work.
The Chief Minister was chairing a meeting held to review progress of the development projects under Quetta Development Package here on Tuesday.
The Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development, Abdul Saboor Kakar, Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, Project Director of Quetta Development Package, Muhammad Rafiq Baloch, Secretary Communication and Works, besides other concerned high ups.
During the briefing, the Project Director informed that the work is continued on the construction and expansion of different roads under the Quetta Package including Sariab road, Samungli road, Sabzal road, and others.
He told that 95 percent work has been completed on Sariab road project. Similarly, 90 percent work has been completed on Sabzal road and Link Badini road besides 85 percent on Radio tower road and 70 percent work on the Anscomb road.
He informed that the pace of work has been expedited on the Quetta Package on special directives of the caretaker Chief Minister, Mir Ali Mardan Domki.
Rafiq Baloch added that the projects would be completed and duly inaugurated by the end of December 2023.
While briefing the meeting, Commissioner Quetta informed that Islamic Ideological Council has been written about the matters of mosques to be affected during the expansion of roads.
However, he said that the matter would be settled with religious leaders once the opinion of IIC arrives about the mosques.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister directed to the concerned high ups to complete the ongoing development projects under Quetta Package at the earliest.
He also directed to take stern action against those contractors who are responsible for delay in the development projects.
Moreover, Mr. Domki also directed to make the owners of private hospitals and plazas in the congested areas bound to ensure parking in their outlets.
