QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has underlined the need to pay much focus on safety of the doctors and other medical staff serving at the forefront against Congo virus in the hospitals.
He said that the Congo virus is a fatal virus and at present, there is a dire need to take it serious and follow the precautionary measures for its prevention and further spread.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the Governor said that all the concerned departments including Health and Livestock should play effective role for prevention of the virus besides stopping its further spread in Quetta and other areas.
He said that by taking timey steps, the spread of Congo virus can be stopped.
In this regard, the Governor also stressed the need to launch mass awareness campaign in view of the risk of its spread.
In addition to this, spray should be carried out for prevention of the virus at dairy farms and cattle markets, he maintained.
He urged the media persons to play effective role for prevention of the virus.
The Governor prayed for the departed soul of Dr. Shakrullah who died of Congo virus in Karachi.
He also prayed for early recovery of those patients contracted the congo virus and undergoing treatment in Quetta and Karachi.
