Special anti-polio vaccination drive planned in 14 districts of Balochistan from 30th

QUETTA: The Emergency Operation Center (EOC) for Polio Eradication Balochistan has decided to launch special anti-polio campaign in 14 districts of the province.
According to the EOC sources, the special anti-polio vaccination campaign would be started on October 30.
Needless to mention here is that the special immunization campaign has been planned in view of the prevalence of the polio virus in the environmental samples of three polio high risk districts in the province including Quetta, Chaman and Pishin besides Hub and Dera Bugti.
The EOC sources informed that the campaign would be run in Quetta, Pishin, Chaman, Killa Abdullah, Hub, Lasbela, Awaran, Dera Bugti, Gwadar, Usta Muhammad, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad and Khuzdar.
During the campaign, around 1.6 million children below five years of age would be administered the anti-polio vaccine.
