QUETTA: The caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai has welcomed the restoration of rail service between Sibi and Harnai after 17 years.
In a felicitation statement issued here on Thursday, the caretaker Minister Information extended heartfelt congratulation to the people and concerned authorities on restoration of the rail service.
He said that the rail service was restored successfully between Sibi-Harnai after 17 years on Wednesday.
He said that there was a wave of jubilation among the local people when the train reached Harnai.
He said that the response of people over restoration of the rail service was overwhelming.
He appreciated the Pakistan railway and Frontier Corps (FC) over resumption of the rail service after a long time.
Jan Achakzai said that interim provincial government values a lot every initiative which is in larger public interest.
He said that the general public would have better travelling facilities with restoration of the Sibi-Harnai rail service. In addition to this, the initiative would also have better economic impacts on the area, the Minister Information maintained.
