ISLAMABAD, : In a concerted effort to tackle pending cases and bolster law enforcement, the Islamabad Police, under the guidance of the City Police Officer, initiated a comprehensive ten-day campaign that yielded commendable outcomes.
During the campaign period, the focus was on expediting pending cases, ensuring the completion of prosecutions, and the successful apprehension of wanted criminals, showcasing the department’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
The latest statistics revealed a significant headway, with a substantial 979 cases filed in authorized courts over the course of the previous year.
Moreover, the swift action of the authorities led to the arrest of 113 individuals involved in illicit advertisements and the successful capture of 66 absconders from the judicial system.
Highlighting the department’s consistent efforts, data showed that from 2018 to 2022, a total of 986 pending cases were effectively prosecuted, underscoring the sustained dedication of the Islamabad Police in addressing legal concerns.
Applauding the tireless efforts of the police teams, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan expressed his appreciation for the dedication and diligence exhibited during the campaign.
The ICCPO stressed the importance of resolving all pending cases within a month, emphasizing the need for expediency in delivering justice.
Furthermore, he underscored the significance of transparency in all legal proceedings, emphasizing the importance of upholding the highest ethical standards in law enforcement.
Looking ahead, the ICCPO called for the implementation of effective strategies to further enhance the apprehension of wanted criminals.
