Federation Election: UBG cannot escape by using fake tactics and judicial edge – Mirza Abdul Rehman

BMP secure 68 votes while UBG got only 24 votes for the appointment of Election Commission members. Video recording is also available.

Islamabad (October 17, 2023) Mirza Abdul Rahman, Chairman Coordination FPCCI and Spokesperson Businessmen Panel said that the United Business Group (UBG) should not try to run away from the FPCCI coming elections through fake tactics and judicial scaffolding. . They are trying evade the decision of majority regarding appointment of members of Election Commission through dirty propaganda which will not fruitful. Twicely voting has been done to confirm the counting of votes. Mirza Abdul Rahman, the spokesperson of the businessman panel, added that while responding fake propaganda of UBG Preparations for next year’s elections of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and industry have been started. The Executive Committee of FPCCI, which is representative of all trade bodies across the country, approved the appointment of the Election Commission in the last EC meeting. Observers from regulating body has also participated in the said meeting and observed all the important points of the meeting. During the meeting, while voting for the names of the members of the Election Commission, 68 votes were casted in favor of the names proposed by BMP, while only 24 votes were casted in favor of the names proposed by UBG. He further said that the decision of majority the was not acceptable by the members of UBG group and start false propaganda, including well known journalists and said that Election Commission will be controversial through various means of media, whereas all proceedings of the meeting were recorded through video recording which are available as an evidence and all happened in the presence of observers from government. Mirza Abdul Rahman call out the UBG leaders that the horse and field both are available so do not try to run from reality. He further said that some people of UBG spread false propaganda among the business community just for the inner satisfaction. He said that during the last four years, the Businessmen’s Panel has given FPCCI its place and proved that the Businessmen’s Panel is the true representative of the apex organization of Business community where as UBG always try to de grade the organization reputation. The people of BMP always paid their expenses from their own pocket during their tenure in FPCCI.Mirza Abdul Rahman further said that the current President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh is a known businessman and people of UBG Try to cowardly accuse him.
