Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 14 outlaws from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Shahzad Ali and recovered 1100 gram hashish from his possession. The Kohsar police team arrested an accused namely Shafiq Masih involved in drug peddling and recovered 620 gram heroin from his possession.
Likewise, the Karachi Company police team arrested an accused namely Asim Razzaq and recovered 10 bottles of liquor from his possession. The Noon police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Ijaz and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Similarly, the Khanna police team arrested four accused namely Muhammad Faisal, Salman Mujahid, Amir Mushtaq and Shahzaib involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapon and recovered 1,011 gram heroin and one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from their possession. The Koral police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Waleed and recovered a 30 bore pistol from his possession. Police team also arrested the accused namely Kamran involved in illegally selling petrol. The Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Saddam Hussain and recovered 400 gram hashish from his possession.
Moreover, the Humak police team arrested an accused namely Bilal Afzal and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from their possession. The Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Wasil Khan and recovered one 32 bore revolver from his possession. The Bara Kahu police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Arshad involved in drug peddling and recovered 1120 gram hashish and 15 gram ice from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
