We have to make hard decisions to come out of tough economic conditions, says Governor

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has stressed that we have to make hard decisions to come out of the toughest economic conditions, Pakistan is going through presently.
The Governor said that the prevailing economic crisis can’t be resolved by bringing minor reforms like increasing prices of daily commodities, taxation and saving food.
He, however, insisted that all economic hardships can be resolved by putting the blue economy in Balochistan on modern lines.
The Governor stated so while speaking to the station commander Pakistan Navy Quetta, captain Muhammad Abdullah Siddiqui who called on him here at the Governor House on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor said that this is surprising that we couldn’t duly benefit from the 700-kilometer long coast of the province.
He said that the coast of Balochistan is blessed with the sea and natural resources besides it has the only deep sea port in the region.
He said that all experts of political economy are agreed on that the province can be turned into an important international hub due to the strategic location, what’s needed to take the matters seriously and make concrete planning.
This is also necessary to give due importance to the rights and interests of the local population, adding he stressed.
