Special anti-polio drive begins in Chaman and Kila Abdulla

QUETTA: The special campaign of polio immunization started in districts of Killa Abdullah and Chaman on Monday.
According to the Emergency Operation Center (EOC), the campaign would remain continued for seven days in the targeted areas.
Over 152,000 children below five years of age would be administered the anti-polio vaccine during the campaign for around 700 teams including the mobile ones have been formulated.
The health workers and volunteers would visit the areas and administer the anti-polio vaccine to the children.
The extra-ordinary arrangements including security have been made for the campaign.
Moreover, the special campaign would start in six union councils of Pishin district from today (Tuesday).
Over 20,000 children below five years of age would be administered in these six UCs during the campaign.
