QUETTA: The central Ameer of Jama’at-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq has put forth immediate demand to the government to take back increase made in the prices of petrol and petroleum products and electricity tariffs in the country, otherwise, the JI’s struggle would remain continued in future.
He asserted that we want such Pakistan which is free of corruption, poverty, ignorance, injustice and other evils.
He said that when there is no price-hike in the countries around us including India, Iran, Nepal and Afghanistan, then why it (inflation) is in Pakistan and why the people are suffering from it.
He also said that he respects all those who follow and obey the law and constitution of the country.
He lamented that the inflation has made the life of people of the country miserable and it has become very difficult for them to make their both ends meet. He also described the inflation as artificial and bogus which he vehemently rejected.
This and similar other views were expressed by the JI Ameer while addressing protest sit-in against the inflation here at the Jaffar Khan Jamali road near Governor House on Sunday evening.
The provincial leaders of JI including Abdul Haq Hashmi, Maulana Hidayatur Rehman and others also addressed the protest dharna.
A large number of JI leaders and workers from all over the provinces participated in the dharna.
Sirajul Haq on the occasion said that he is struggling for the common men of Pakistan. He is fighting for the rule of law, constitution, justice and enforcement of sharia in the country.
He said that it is not his objective to make his son Prime Minister, while on the other hand, it is issue of Asif Ali Zardari as how to make Bilawal PM and so the issue of Nawaz Sharif is how to make Maryam PM of the country.
Rather his only issue is how to make the life of poor people easier, adding the JI chief asserted.
He said that he had not supported PPP, PML-N when their leaders Asif Zardari and Shahbaz Sharif sought his support against PTI, and so he had also not supported PTI in the past.
He said that he considers all three political parties same, which did nothing for well being of the people.
Ameer JI said that we would give such Pakistan to the people where there is no poverty, unemployment, injustice and inflation.
He sought the support of people of Balochistan in the JI’s struggle to achieve the goals.
He said that while he is in Quetta today as part of the JI’s movement, he had been in Peshawar and Lahore, and now is going to Karachi.
Ameer JI also demanded of the rulers to resolve the issues of Balochistan and its people. He said that Chairman Senate, caretaker Prime Minister and Chief Justice of Pakistan all belong to Balochistan, therefore, the issues of Balochistan and its people should be resolved now.
