ECP announcement confirms Jamal Shah’s early election prediction

ISLAMABAD,  : Caretaker Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Jamal Shah has expressed his contentment as the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) validated his previous statement by scheduling the General Elections for the final week of January.

 

In a statement on Thursday, he emphasized that he had consistently said in numerous TV interviews that ECP would announce the elections prior to February.

 

He said the caretaker government would fulfill its constitutional obligations by extending all-out support to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in holding free and transparent elections in the country.

 

The minister said the main mandate of the caretaker government was to provide all-out assistance to the ECP for the holding of free, fair and transparent elections in all provinces of the country.
