Islamabad Capital Police Koral and Aabpara police teams have arrested two wanted members of a thief gang including an absconder involved in numerous theft activities and recovered stolen valuables from their possession, a Public Relation Officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police had categorically started a crackdown against criminal elements in order to save the precious lives and property of citizens.
According to the details, a Koral police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of the thief gang. The accused was identified as Azeem.
Police team also recovered three stolen mobile phones worth Rs 750,000 from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to being involved in numerous criminal activities in various areas of the Koral police station.
Furthermore, the Aabpara police team arrested a wanted absconder namely Aurangzeb involved in fraud and cheating cases.
The Islamabad Capital City Police officers (ICCPO) directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
