77th Independence Day Celebrations Marked with Gift of 31,680 Square Feet of Land for Conservation of Juniper Forest
QUETTA, AUGUST 13, (independent Report)
In a significant move to preserve the natural heritage of Pakistan, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and his brother Qazi Azmat Isa have donated 31,680 square feet of land in Ziarat to establish an environmental center. The land, located adjacent to the Quaid-e-Azam Residency, will be used to protect the historic juniper forest and promote environmental conservation.
The juniper forest in Ziarat is one of the largest in the world and is home to a species of juniper found nowhere else in the world. Some of the trees in the forest are over a thousand years old, making it a unique and valuable resource.
The environmental center will offer nature walks, special exhibitions, and information sessions for the general public, tourists, students, and teachers. The center aims to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and promote research and education in the field.
The Government of Balochistan has accepted the donation and will work to establish the environmental center. The move is seen as a significant step towards preserving Pakistan’s natural heritage and promoting environmental sustainability.
