QUETTA: As many as 427 more power connections were suspended on non-payment of arrears by the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) in different parts of the province including Quetta on Friday.
According to the spokesman of QESCO, the drive against power pilferers and defaulters remained continued all over the province.
As part of the campaign, some 427 connections were disconnected on non-payment of the dues. Moreover, nine transformers were also removed during the campaign.
In addition to this, five more FIRs were registered against power pilferers in Naseerabad and Sui areas.
Moreover, the recovery of amount against the dues of QESCO is also continued as over Rs. 83 crore were collected from the defaulters.
Similarly, over Rs. 12 crore were also recovered from the pilferers on charges of electricity theft in the province.
