Forty schools in Peshin, Balochistan, which were previously closed due to a shortage of teachers, have reopened following the appointment of 40 contract teachers.
According to Provincial Government Spokesperson Shahid Rind, the schools were shut due to the unavailability of teaching staff. However, with the help of the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), the Deputy Commissioner of Peshin arranged for the necessary teaching staff.
Additionally, show-cause notices have been issued to 81 habitual absent teachers in Peshin, Rind stated. Failure to provide a satisfactory response will result in termination of service.
This move is part of the ongoing educational reforms in Balochistan, initiated by Chief Minister Mir Sardar Faraz Bugti. During his recent visit to Peshin, Bugti directed the Deputy Commissioner to reopen all closed schools in the district by December this year.
The reopening of schools is expected to benefit thousands of students in the region and improve the overall education scenario in Balochistan.
