Torkham, August 17, : A search operation conducted by security forces in Torkham market and adjacent areas resulted in the arrest of 174 foreign nationals without legal documents.
The operation, which lasted for four hours, led to the closure of the Pak-Afghan Torkham border for all types of traffic. The arrested individuals, who were found to be residing illegally in various warehouses in Torkham, were handed over to the police and transferred to Landikotal sub-jail.
Legal action will be taken against them under the Foreigners Act, and they will be deported. The search operation was conducted in the wake of security concerns and to crack down on illegal immigration.
