15 people dead, 10 others injured in different incidents during rains in Balochistan: PDMA

QUETTA: At least 15 persons lost lives while 15 others were injured in different incidents during heavy rains and flash floods in different areas of Balochistan.
This was informed in a report of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) here on Saturday.
According to the report, casualties were occurred in Dera Bugti, Killa Saifullah, Killa Abdullah and other areas.
The report suggested that the deaths and injuries were caused due to lightning and collapse of roofs of the houses during April 12-19, 2024.
Besides, 60 houses were completely damaged while 160 were partially damaged during heavy rains in the province.
According to the report, two bridges and 12 roads were also damaged due the rains.
Meanwhile, the grand operation is continued by the Pak Army in Kalanch area of Gwadar.
The Pak Army teams took part in the rain affected area of Kalanch.
The relief and food items as well as medicines and drinking water were provided to the affectees in Jummazai and Muradi village located in surrounding area of Gwadar.
