Post Graduate Medical Institute & Ameer Uddin Medical College Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar has said that under the new policy of the Punjab Government, the family of Grade 16 employee civil servant Muhammad Ramzan who died while during service in Lahore General Hospital will be given Rs 15 million as financial assistance package while the family of the deceased will also be entitled to withdraw his salary and other benefits till the age of retirement. Prof. Al-Fareed Zafar on behalf of the Punjab Government said that CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has given a multifold increase in the financial assistance package for the employees on death during service. He lauded the step taken by CM Punjab which is indeed a big humanitarian initiative. He said that the families of the employees will be able to live a better life instead of suffering from the irony of the circumstances in the case of the death during service which is very much hard otherwise.
This was expressed by Principal PGMI while talking to President Abid Hussain, Chairman APCA Imran Khan and other officials of APCA Unit, LGH. He expressed his heartfelt regrets and condolences on the death of Muhammad Ramadan and said that although his family has lost the shadow of their dear one but the Pb. Govt. is there to take care of them. He said that CM Punjab has increased the aid package many times and the family of late Muhammad Ramzan will get Rs 15 million instead of Rs 25 lakh which will help them to spend a better life in the future. Prof. Al-Fareed also constituted a committee under the chairmanship of MS LGH for timely payment of dues to the family of deceased employee and handle all matters as per rules and regulations promptly while the members include Director Finance and Superintendent Amjad Ali who is in full contact with the heirs of the deceased. Principal PGMI while talking to the officials of APCA Unit, LGH said that we should perform our duties with hard work, dedication and honesty while on the other hand Government does not leave the families of employees alone even after their death, so we need to fulfill the expectations of the masses as one should try hard to serve the suffering humanity.
