13 outlaws including two professional beggars arrested; drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 13 outlaws including two professional baggers from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.

 

He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.

 

Following these directions, the Aabpara police team arrested two accused namely Khurram and Aftab and recovered 15 liters of liquor and one 30 bore pistol from their possession.  The Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Saghir and recovered 1200 gram hashish from his possession.

 

Likewise, the Bani gala police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Ramzan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. The Khanna police team arrested an accused namely Haider Abbas and recovered one iron punch from his possession.

 

Similarly, the Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Gulzar and recovered 127 gram heroin from his possession. The Noon police team arrested an accused namely Asim shah and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.

 

Moreover, the Sangjani police team arrested two accused namely Iqbal and Muhammad Yousaf and recovered 693 gram heroin from their possession, while police team arrested two accused namely Amin ur Rasheed and Muhammad Awais involved in illegally selling petrol.

 

Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During the ongoing crackdown against professional beggars and their handlers, the Islamabad Capital Police teams arrested two professional baggers.

 

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
