Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 13 outlaws including two professional baggers from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Tariq and recovered 117 gram heroin from his possession. The Ramna police team arrested an accused namely Faizan Altaf and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Similarly, the Golra police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Ghulam and recovered 1,150 gram heroin from his possession. The Sumbal police team arrested an accused namely Allah Ditta and recovered 160 gram heroin from his possession. The Sangjani police team arrested an accused namely Aamir Shahzad and recovered 520 gram heroin from his possession.
Furthermore, the Shams Colony police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Aleem and recovered 525 gram hashish from his possession. The Noon police team arrested an accused
Namely Muhammad Munwar involved in illegal selling of petrol. The Phulgran police team arrested two accused namely Shakir and Salah Ud Din and recovered a Kalashnikov and one 9mm pistol from their possession.
Moreover, the Bani Gala police team arrested three accused namely Usman Siddique, Abdul Muneeb and Muhammad Qias and recovered two 30 bore pistols and 1,100 gram hashish from their possession. The Humak police team arrested an accused namely Yousaf Khan involved in illegally selling diesel.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
During the ongoing crackdown against professional beggars, the Islamabad Capital Police arrested two professional baggers and registered cases against them under the beggar act.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
