Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 07 outlaws from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Aabpara police team arrested an accused namely Naeem Akhtar involved in liquor selling and recovered 15 liters liquor from his possession. The Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Sarfraz and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Similarly, the Sangjani police team arrested two accused namely Imran and Shahzaib involved in drug peddling and recovered 1572 gram heroin from their possession. The Khanna police team arrested an accused namely Abdul Ghaffar and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Moreover, the Ramna police team arrested two accused namely Hamza Khan and Abdullah Khan involved in possessing illegal weapons and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
